Welsh Corgis, to some degrees and considerations, are living creatures similar to human beings. They breathe, play, eat, run, walk, sleep, and learn. They do not merely exist as machines or rather non-interacting mammals. Behaviourists convince the world that dogs are more than just animals that are confined in their own world. They go beyond building links and connections with the human world.
Their past experiences influences thought patterns that allows them to behave as they are asked to do. Corgis also have their own nervous systems at work which are responsible to analyze and collect data. They possess sense of smell, sense of hearing, sense of sight, sense of taste, sense of balance, sense of well-being, and sense of time.
Corgis are known to have excellent memory of odors. They are keen to use their noses to identify lost or stolen things. They remember the scents more than by looking at them. They are best in identifying distinct and arduous smells.
Much as they have good sense of smell, they are more or less sharp with their sense of hearing. They pick up vibrations even at the farthest distance. They react to coming dangers ahead than humans just by sensing sound waves. They are quicker to identify commands through different tones by their owners or masters. Using the voice to make a corgi obey is one good tool.
Corgis are also visual. Humans can communicate with them through movements. They can identify body language and human behaviours as long as they come in patterns. They can sense when a person or other animals are ready to attack them. Their responses are determined on how they visually perceive the environment. They can identify eye contacts from their master or owners. They know when they show love or expresses reproofs.
Your corgis can also identify the kind of food being fed to them. There are dogs which are developed into healthy pet and trained mammals by the kind of diet they eat. As they become used to a specific flavours, they may feel discriminated if they will be given another menu.
Other sensory perceptions are results of the corgis’ mental traits. Socially, dogs identify their positions in packs. They also have that sense of belongingness since they have natural instincts to hold position in a hierarchy. They behave in aggressive manners when they feel threatened and dominated. They also have the sense of balance wherein they can learn given a patterned behaviour. When they are taught on how to behave properly, every word uttered should only be said once, otherwise the proceeding ones becomes too many for them.
Corgis grow. Puppies need to be fed by their mother at a particular span of time and at regular intervals. The warmth of their mothers helps in their complete development. They have the luxury to snuggle. The only activities they know are being fed on their mother’s milk and take a nap. As they grow they play with their littermates. At the proper time they become independent and can live on their own. As to becoming a pet, they are ready to have their own new family.
One of the best ways to appreciate and bond deeply with your corgi is see things from his own perspective. We may react and interpret our dog’s behaviour differently because we fail to understand the impact of our instructions or a certain experience to him. Odd behaviours may constantly surface because of some traumatic events in the past which dictates his unnatural behaviours.
